The White Coffee

The White Coffee

 THE HISTORY

White Coffee was first introduced by the Chinese working at the Ipoh, Perak tin mines, and hence, the name “White Coffee” was translated directly from its Chinese name too.

Though given the name “White Coffee”, the coffee beans themselves were not actually white, but the White was referring to the overall process from roasting to brewing the coffee.

Traditional Roasting Method

The success of White Coffee wasn’t as simple as adding milk into the drink. The coffee beans were roasted in margarine and sugar, grounded, brewed and served with sweetened condense milk. As the coffee gives a strong aroma and every sip gives you the rich taste you sought after.

After making its name in the town, the White Coffee continue to spread across the nation and gain popularity quickly.

Those who tasted the margarine-roasted coffee beans for the first time were often misled to believe that there is a type of coffee bean commonly found in Malaysia called the “White Coffee bean”. Nonetheless, these coffee beans were actually Arabica beans roasted to a dark colour.
7Thirty - Original 3 in 1

On the other hand, the Original 3-in-1 White Coffee was a mix instant coffee powder with the just the right ratio of non-dairy creamer and sugar, and of course, coffee powder.
